Day 1 – Arrival in Romania & Entering the Danube Delta
From airport arrival to your first journey by water, this day marks the start of your Danube Delta experience.
Whether you arrive the same morning or a few days earlier, we’ll ensure a smooth and comfortable transition into your adventure.

| 10:00 a.m. | Meet your NOMAD representative at Henri Coandă Airport (Otopeni), inside the Arrivals Lounge (left side of main terminal). |
| 11:00 a.m. | Depart by private minibus toward the Danube Delta. |
| 1:00 p.m. | Stop for a traditional Romanian lunch at a countryside restaurant. Local dishes and regional flavours included. |
| 2:00–3:00 p.m. | Continue your scenic journey through southern Dobrogea, passing through small villages and the Măcin foothills. |
| 3:00 p.m. | Arrive in Victoria village, where your Danube Delta experience begins. Meet your tour leader, Călin, and transfer to the NOMAD motorboat. |
| 3:30–5:00 p.m. | Navigate the Sfântu Gheorghe and Sulina canals on a 90-minute water transfer through the heart of the Biosphere Reserve. |
| 5:00 p.m. | Arrive at Casa Delta Guesthouse, in the remote village of Crișan. |
| 7:00 p.m. | Enjoy a welcome dinner with locally sourced ingredients and a glass of Romanian wine. Relax on the guesthouse pier and take in your first Delta sunset. |
Early Arrival Option
If you prefer to arrive in Bucharest a day or two in advance, we’re happy to help organize:
- Airport transfers
- Hotel bookings (airport area or city centre)
- A local English-speaking guide
- Recommendations for sights such as the Old Town, Palace of the Parliament, Village Museum, and Cișmigiu Park
Please let us know at least 2–3 weeks before your trip so we can arrange everything in advance.
